Worse than Wrong
Arrogance let loose
Imagine yourself as an outside observer of earth for the last four and a half billion years since it was formed. You have watched on through several ice ages in which the earth is transformed by ice and global temperatures fall many degrees. You have watched these ice sheets melt and the earth become green and fertile and warm. You have seen the continents shift and merge and split. You have seen the earth transformed again and again, never reaching an equilibrium that fails to be disrupted.
You have watched surface water give way to single cellular life, give way to multicellular life, and mostly you have watched as nothing at all happens in the life department. Less than a billion years ago things get exciting, plants, then animals, transform earth’s surface into a whole new kind of environment, wholly more wonderful than the water and rock marble that had been slowly coming alive for the past several billion years.
More times than you could ever count on your metaphorical fingers, species emerge, and species go extinct, all in an ever-accelerating march towards intelligence. Humans pop up in Africa and spread to inhabit most of the planet. 200,000 year later, humans start measuring temperature around the globe. And 200 years after that, humans work themselves up into a great fit on the discovery that global temperature is rising by a few degrees and their planet is changing.
I, Zack, spend time around people who understand that the so called “climate science” is riddled with error and fraud, and I have become aware of this myself over the last few years. I, however, believed that this was the whole story, people who want to control us are meddling with science to sell us a story that isn’t true, but I have realized it’s way deeper than that.
Our planet, our species, the life of each and every one of us, are nothing short of miracles. Miracles that science, no less, has a very long path ahead before understanding accurately. Science is a very elegant tool, but it should not serve as our god, we should not seek to control, correct, or stabilize our world.
The story I put together above illustrates how ludicrous the idea of a stable earth climate is. The idea that we are freaking out and trying to correct changing temperatures on our most beautiful planet, is way worse than lousy science. It’s a control fetish. It’s the tower of Babel.
I thought that the story we were told was wrong. I was mistaken – it’s preposterous on it’s face, from the very beginning.
